Human Rights Defenders Coordinator – Armitage D. MUMBWALI is exceedingly impressed with the Presidential declaration of the El niño as a National Disaster.
MUMBWALI told SPECIAL DUTIES Media that it is less than 8 days ago that he and the colleagues demanded the government to urgently declare the drought situation a National disaster.
He added that they are NOT only elated by the declaration but also the WHOLE strategic policy statement packaging in his neat and precisional speech.
“It is acid truth that it’s a rare virtue in a sitting president to have his ears on the ground and respond to the expectations of the citizenry.
The nation has applauded the President for his commitment exhibited in his speech to serve humanity. IT GIVES LIVING HOPE. The eeconomic and food security in the country in now secure”, he said.
Mr MUMBWALI has further urged all politicians to put aside politics and rally behind to do their role of checks and balances correctly and ensure that the citizens receive the food and agricultural support as assured by the New Dawn government.
